    Yep, mine are just fastly-converted models to test/show the new functions.

    To use the paint function you would need to assign the parts which are supposed to be paintable to another part group (e.g. trailer) and after export rename them in the file from e.g. 'trailerModel' to 'primaryPaintBodyModel' or 'secondaryPaintBodyModel'.
    Edit: Also paint the texture for those parts white/gray-ish (other colours could look bad on repainting, but not forbidden to use them).

    All else are just config options for which I'll add an explanation probably soon if I get the time....
    (alternatively just look into the config of C1_R1, T1C, T1P, T1_1C, T1_1P of my content pack).

    Do the same for backpacks and it will work.

    You'd also need to make additionally read/write methods to make it back into an normal item after converting it into that string format if you would want to use such.
    It's simpler to use the already existing methods of saving an item and it's NBT into the NBT Compound in the container("backpack"). And safer.

    If guns break in some backpack mod, means they programmed it wrong.

    Known Bugs:
    - paint/key data doesn't persists into Item form (isn't implemented yet)
    - chunks may stop loading when driving fast, to prevent falling into void just dismount and mount the vehicle again (or even re-place it) as soon you notice they don't load anymore.

    1 - Please read the first post properly, FlansMod Minus won't have guns/weapons.
    2 - I'm working on a lock function.
    3 - sounds interesting...
    Consider FM Minus as a demilitarized version of FlansMod, I might keep a few functions from the vehicles though (cause, who doesn't like explosions?! :0).


    Edit: I might make it so that both mods can run at once, since it's probably possible. (I mean normal FlansMod and Minus)
    If actually someone updates the official branch to 1.10.2+ ...
